My Story | Dr Laura Holland, PhD

After finishing my degree in economics and travelling for a year, I moved to London to begin my career as an economist! It wasn’t long before I knew this life wasn’t for me, and I did a complete 180 and trained as a nutritionist.

I launched BeU consultancy not long after qualifying and the rest is history. A few years later I did my masters degree and doctorate in integrative medicine, expanding my understanding and appreciation of traditional, complementary and alternative therapies.

Alongside my consultancy, supporting clients with a personalised approach to healing all sorts of health and wellbeing challenges, I also love to utilise my economics expertise and passion for business in social impact driven projects.

I cofounded Vegemi, a holistic nutrition and health education method for children and parents. I’m also a partner in a social enterprise, Venner Nutrition providing healthy food aid to families facing food insecurity, alongside nutrition education for families and children.

My professional experience has given me enormous insight into health and wellbeing at multiple levels, not least my own, as I’ve learned to navigate the demands of life and business with how I approach my own healing, especially with stress and anxiety, often induced by high-pressure moments in life that I’m sure we can all relate to.

I’ve discovered that being well is an ever-unfolding, always-evolving way of living in harmony with our true self, and dis-ease is the body’s way of telling us that we’ve stepped out of this harmony and changes are needed.

Healing, is finding and living the path that allows you to truly Be U! I believe that healing is always possible, and this is what I wish and intend for each of us.

Much love,

Your BeUtiful Body: A Guide to Eating and Loving Your Body Light

“This book is different, it’s not about dieting as such but more holistic, about the relationships you have with your body, yourself and the food you eat and being in harmony and feeling light and wonderful. I have read it twice and it totally makes sense. Easy to read with lots of very useful facts and ideas. Includes a week by week easy to follow plan that I’m about to start. Highly recommend.”
